When you need help with complex technical content or UX/UI writing I can help you from gathering your business requirements to publication of different deliverable types. I specialize in knowledge bases, white papers, how-to user and training guides, system admin and troubleshooting guides, and feature descriptions and UI strings.

Desktop Publishing

In addition to the other services, I can work with you to design items like infographics, newsletters, brochures, ebooks/books, presentations, and technical diagrams. My Graphic Design background has primarily been in print media. I have a strong knowledge of design standards, typography, page layout, and color sense. I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

During a content analysis, I ask:
  • Where can we reduce duplication and where can we implement content reuse (at the topic, paragraph, and sentence level)?
  • Where can we reduce the number of clicks your user takes to accomplish something?
  • Where can we increase the confidence of the user?
  • Are there significant gaps in the content?

  • Rewrote a web browser deployment guide for enterprises by providing use case scenarios and a critical path to the browser and operating system-specific group policies, reducing confusing and inaccurate content, and increasing CSAT rates.
  • Rewrote a decades-old installation/upgrade guide for IT professionals and the GE Healthcare support team reducing the time to install or upgrade a system, reducing data loss or data corruption, and reducing support calls.
